Speaking truthfully, when you think of Steampunk, the first things that pop into your head are usually goggles, gears, corsets, hats, and pretty much all that is vintage…but not perfumes. And that makes total sense because Steampunk is such a visually striking aesthetic that we tend to focus on the clothes, accessories, and all that related machinery before anything else, sadly!

Compared to a regular and more floral scents, where the flower’s sweetness is the main ingredient mostly, Steampunk and also Victorian-themed fragrances have that old-world, deep, rich, and smoky base notes that can last for a day! We’re speaking about leather, tobacco, and rum touch, what gives them that smokey, intense, industrial, and almost like a gothic feeling!

But when it starts to settle in more you’ll get this warm, velvety mix of iris( powdery and a bit mysterious), vanilla (sweet but not candy-like), and deep old woody notes that resemble Steampunk and Victorian times the best way possible!;)
Dior Homme Intense perfume is refined, slightly romantic, and with a hint of darkness…but in a “charming mystery” way of course! So, if you were dressing in Victorian style, for example, wearing Dior’s fragrance would make total sense cause it smells like old-school luxury but still modern enough to feel effortlessly stylish!
Also…in a way, the perfume embodies steampunk’s refined yet rebellious spirit! Cause let’s be honest….it’s elegant but not outdated, bold but not loud, modern yet timeless. Amouage Interlude Man is not a light, everyday scent because it’s smoky and complex by smelling like smoldering wood in the air and exotic spices, making it perfect for anyone channeling that Steampunk or Victorian aesthetic! The first phase opens with a blast of spice and citrus, so right away you get this bold mix of oregano, pimento (spicy red pepper), and bergamot (citrus) hints!
In the second phase…this is where the magic happens!;) The smoky and mysterious middle will start giving off a warm, smokey and resinous vibe, like the lingering scent of old churches almost. In the 3rd phase, as it dries down, you’ll start getting a heavy dose of leather, Oud(deep and expensive woody scent), and amber. If you want to smell like rich leather, dark booze, and just a hint of trouble, this is the one for you. Black Phantom has serious old-school luxury and mystery aura walking along with it. It’s boozy, dark, and rich…like something a well-dressed vintage style ambassador would wear. If Steampunk had an official list of trademarks, this would be one of the top contenders for sure!;) It simply has that old-world charm!
One of the first things you probably notice is that strong dark rum note, by that I mean the expensive ones ofc. Then comes the rich sweetness. You’ll get that dark chocolate, caramel, and almond scent…but don’t think candy-store sweet, please. We’re talking about a deep, warm, and slightly smoky dessert!;)

So, Creed is one of those old-school, super-luxury fragrance houses that’s been making perfumes since 1760 (quite old, yeah?). Mostly making scents for royalty, aristocrats, and basically anyone with money and power throughout history.
But Royal Oud came out in 2011 and it’s inspired by Persian palaces and rich European nobility. In fact…in the Victorian era, anything exotic, like oud, rare woods, and fancy spices were a status symbol. If you were pulling off something with oud back then, you were basically flexing!;) And with all that…this is where we can draw a line between Steampunk and Victorian times as well of course! Also…this is where its price is coming from!
About Royal Oud itself? The first whiff gives you the hit of lemon, pink pepper, and bergamot. Making it bright, slightly spicy, and super smooth! Then it gets deeper and woodier. After a while, the cedarwood and angelica roots kick in. This gives it that rich, polished wood smell…we just love!
The ultimate explosion happens later, where the oud, sandalwood, and musk come in!;) Btw, “oud” is that dark, resinous, smoky wood note that makes a scent feel expensive and powerful. Same time sandalwood smooths everything out, while musk adds a warm, slightly sexy undertone. Simply delicious!;)

Oud Satin Mood is a smooth, warm, and straight-up luxurious scent. It’s fancy without being stuffy, seductive without being too much…it’s just the right balance of sweet and smoky.
It feels like wearing a super expensive cashmere scarf that smells amazing at the same time. These completely hypnotic base notes will leave an unforgettable impression, that’s for sure!;) Considering that Oud and roses had totally Victorian-era vibes, mainly symbolizing wealth and mystery, “Satin Mood” fits perfectly into our list! That being said… straight away, you get this deep, velvety rose mixed with sweet vanilla and a bit of smoky oud touch.

All in all for anyone who wants a bold scent that lasts all day and actually gets compliments! If you feel engaged to an ageless cigarette, leather-themed aura, it might be a perfume to consider. It has a naturally confident, effortless vibe, the kind of scent that makes people ask, “Damn, what are you wearing, man?”
The first thing you’ll MOST DEFINITELY notice is that rich and spicy tobacco of course. But no worries, it’s not that stale ashtray smell…this is that sweet, fresh pipe tobacco you’d find in an “old-school cigar shop” maybe. Then the warm and creamy vanilla wraps around the tobacco and evens it out nicely.
As it settles in even more, a mix of cocoa, cinnamon, and dried fruits underneath starts to come to the surface, giving it a warm, almost boozy feel!;) Tobacco Vanille is extremely dynamic, cause that mix of scents stick around for hours, but the spiciness and woods keep it from getting boring. In other words, it’s a Victorian aristocracy in a bottle!;)
First impressions bring you the boozy brandy, which makes it feel expensive right off the bat. Then the shaving cream vibe kicks in. Yeah, that might sound weird, but honestly…it has a strong barbershop freshness mixed in with the richness. And in a good way! Also, there’s tonka beans present (which adds warmth and a slightly sweet, smooth vibe) and amber (giving it a soft, rich glow), but it’s still very refined, and very put-together!;)

But the thing is, they aren’t actually black, they’re a deep, deep red, almost like a gothic love story in “flower form”. Obviously, these roses became legendary, symbolizing mystery, luxury, and things that aren’t quite what they seem…which is exactly what this perfume smells like!;)
Filled with fine woods, rare spices, rich florals, and dark intrigue! As a complete product…it’s got a slightly forbidden, secretive feel to it, which is super welcoming. For daily wear? Hmmm….If you’ve got the confidence, go for it. But it’s definitely not a light, casual fragrance, more like a statement-making and attention-grabbing scent.
